Perhaps Brunswick and Brunswick Street became intermingled somewhere among the deliberations for a location setting.  But after several ideas, the backstreets of Fitzroy was settled on for Shauna and James’ engagement shoot. The sun decided to stay with us for the leisurely walk around some very amazing street art. Check out that massive echidna…. Looking forward very much to the wedding shoot later this year with these lovely two.storyboard006storyboard007storyboard008storyboard009storyboard010storyboard011storyboard012storyboard013storyboard054storyboard055storyboard016storyboard041storyboard020storyboard042storyboard047storyboard046storyboard021storyboard022storyboard023storyboard024storyboard025storyboard026storyboard027storyboard028storyboard003storyboard030storyboard031storyboard032storyboard033storyboard034storyboard037storyboard035storyboard057storyboard039storyboard038storyboard053storyboard040

Kate and Nick contacted me about a year and a half ago about shooting their wedding. We could not meet in person because Nick was sitting in cafes in Florence contemplating how he was going to justify his Social Psychology PhD travel grant while having wind swept conversations and slow gazes across to the Duomo. We all finally got to meet up in the (almost as) lovely Dandenong Ranges where the light was just right.  A perfectly lovely way to end 2013 photographically.storyboard00320131229-IMG_9412storyboard005storyboard008storyboard00620131229-1M0C0005storyboard007storyboard009storyboard024storyboard011storyboard012storyboard01320131229-1M0C0196storyboard015storyboard016storyboard017storyboard019storyboard022storyboard02120131229-1M0C018120131229-1M0C0277storyboard02320131229-IMG_9627

I had a bit of fun with a stitch up. Yesterday’s shoot had some nice light and a beautiful couple. So why not take a few dozen photos of the same scene and whack them all together. If I am ever asked to produce an enlargement to cover the side of a barn, I will say sure.

David Goldthorpe’s production on the life and music of Chet Baker is touring. The show is emotionally intense and musically wonderful. Its no impersonation of Chet Baker, yet David’s voice has the sweetness of Baker and the band is definitely cool. Check out some shots from the production on my Jazz photo site: http://www.lakisideris.com/melbournejazzphotos/2013/07/chet-baker-like-someone-in-love-david-goldthorpe/
